My personal experience as Professor Weiner's patient
If you have looked through Prof. Weiners extensive credentials it will be clear to you that you are going to be in very safe, extremely experienced hands. Of course all patients think they have the very best surgeon and I am no exception. This man changed my life for the better and gave me the full benefit of his expertise on every surgical level. But I am not blindly praising here...his experience is what counts and in the Prof's case it is a vast experience by anyone's standards.
His care of me was outstanding on every level. It began with his taking care of all my issues including adhesions and hernia's during surgery. He never just opened me up and did the DS despite the fact that I had other abdominal problems...no, he is a competant perfectionist. He fixed all my problems while he was in there. In my books this shows an exceptional person who is humane and who truly cares for his patients.
I always felt cared for and safe. I have fond memories of his kind attempts to cheer me up when he came in for the daily check up. He always listened to me and took the time to answer my questions.
He still does...there is not an e-mail I have sent him that has gone unanswered and he occassionally e-mails me to find out how I am doing. I don't know of any other surgeon who takes the time out of a busy schedule to chase up a patient!
10 months later and I am living proof of Prof. Weiners expertise. I have lost 77,7% of my excess body mass. I had no leaks, no complications after surgery and I have no complications now. My body works optimally for me.
I do not hesitate to highly recommend Prof. Weiner in every respect, both as an excellent highly intelligent, accomplished and experienced surgeon and a very lovely person. I trust him implicitly and would not hesitate to undergo the DS or any other surgery with him.
